¶ Messaging Overview
Webphone messaging allows you to:
- Send internal messages to other Webphone users
- Send SMS messages to external users
- Create group chats with Webphone users
¶ Internal Messaging
Set up a message with internal users by clicking the + icon and selecting Add Rinble User
- Enter the user's email address to create the chat.
¶ SMS Messaging
Set up an sms message chat by clicking the + button and selecting Add SMS Contact
- Select which of your phones to send the message from
- Enter the name of the contact (this is their name on your end)
- ENter the contact's phone number
¶ Group Messaging
At this time, group chats can only contain other Rinble users
Group messages can be created in two ways:
- Clicking the + button and selectnig Create New Group and entering a name for the group
- Clicking the Group icon in the top right and adding users to the group by their email address
- Selecting the group icon in the top right of an existing chat and adding a new user by their email address
- Clicking the Group icon in the top right and adding users to the group by their email address
The owner of a group chat has the power to remove users. To delete a group chat, remove all users and then yourself.
